Half-Day Mediation
Half-Day mediations are typically for smaller, less complicated matters such as reaching agreement over a single issue, small amount of money.
Please call me at (858) 793-7007 to discuss the cost of an in-person half-day mediation at my High Bluff Drive office or your location. I often travel to the parties’ location to save administrative and conference room expenses. Another cost effective option is virtual Zoom mediation.
All-Day Mediation
Most probate and trust disputes can be resolved in one day of mediation. We emphasize pre-mediation conference telephone calls and meeting with the parties and their counsel before the mediation to narrow issues, explain the mediation process. We find pre-mediation, separate conferences familiarize both the clients and attorneys with the process so they know what to expect the day of their mediation. A lot of the work is done before the mediation itself.

Mr. Bauman has practiced civil, probate, trust and conservatorship cases in San Diego and Southern California courts for over thirty years. In addition to attending numerous settlement conferences and mediations, he is a student of negotiation and mediation:

June, 1996, Harvard Law School, Program of Instruction for Lawyers, Intensive weeklong negotiation training. Mr. Bauman was privileged to study negotiation under professor Roger Fisher, author “Getting to Yes: Negotiating Without Giving In” (co-authored with William Ury, in 1981).
Mr. Bauman regularly attends mediation and negotiation seminars as part of his California State Bar Continuing Education.
